Lastnight I finally ordered the gear for my top end rebuild.
I'll be going with one of the Trickflow kits which includes pretty much everything I need. I'll be getting the Trickflow 3/8" phenolic spacer to suit. I'll also be getting the 24lb/hr Ford Racing injectors and BBK 70mm throttle body with egr plate. The specs for the kit are in the following link. part# TFS-K514-350-370B http://www.trickflow.com/product/engine ... s_ford.asp With any luck I'll have it all by the end of next week and I've then got to wait another month or so to get it fitted and tuned at BPT. It'll be a long, long wait!

Be advised the EGR will need to be modified so that the Throttle cable has some where to mount to.I took one of the bolts from the factory EGR and mounted it by drilling and tapping the new EGR. You then need to space the bolt out so the cable is the correct distance from the mount on the TB. The TB will aslo need the pin for the attachment to the throttle cable to be moved to the other side. You will understand what i mean when the parts turn up.

Yeah Jeff, when the parts come I'll take some pics.
Thanks for the tips on modding the EGR Brett. Will pass on info to Terry at BPT. I'm pretty sure they have a car in there now with BBK 75mm throttle body and EGR, so hopefully they will know what to do. schnoods, hopefully before too long I'll be in the blower crew! Well, It'll be a little while, that's why I'm doing this. Getting sick of being beaten by AU XR6s!

Look's the goods man. How many k's on your motor? Are you buying it from the states? Any piston clearance issue's with the heads? or is every thing bolt on apart from the tb and egr.

My motor is 180,000km old and everything is bolt on. Except Trick Flow will be upsidae down on the intake.
I had a compression test done and was told it was all good but I have no idea what it means. All cylinders ranging between 135 and 145 whatsi-midoobies...

Or correct it when the blower goes on. That's my plan with the cooler piping (if I ever get that far )

I wouldn't be doing a TFS top end kit and a blower... Not on a standard block at any rate.

The bottom end will be getting overhauled in a major way when its time for uncle Kenne to jump on board.
There'll be no grinding either... maybe fabricate a plate to cover it or something. We'll see when it gets here.

The nice part about TFS Trick flow heads is the 2.02 valve can be used.. The chambers are higher .. A blower would make them breath real heavy...Keep fly wheel power around 400 h.p....
Unless you find an early 302 block... 400 h.p and safe tune, you'll be fine!!!

I will be watching this thread with a lot of interest. Wouldn't mind doing these mods to my car.
Would that Trickflow top end kit be ok for a 347? Good luck with the mods mate.

I just saw a Fairmoint Ghia the other week on the dyno at BPT with 347 and Trickflow setup. I'm just not too sure whether he got it as a kit or got it seperate. I know he's using the track heat inlet for higher hp and he has twisted wedge heads but unsure as to which ones. Dunno about the cam. He pulled 320hp+ but they weren't happy with it. I'll try and find out exactly if it was one of these kits or not.

The TFS heads do come with a 2.02" intake valve, the ability to run this with standard pistons comes from the rotated valve position rather than a 'higher' chamber.
There is a limit to how large a cam you can run, which is mentioned on TFS's website. {USERNAME} wrote: {USERNAME} wrote: The nice part about TFS Trick flow heads is the 2.02 valve can be used..
