something tells me that if you want to remove the metal bracket, that you would need to undo the bolts that hold it on.
Honestly, if you can't work out how to unbolt the ECU what makes you think it's a good idea to be playing with that stuff in the first place? |

the bolt doesn't have a phillips head or a flat head on it
it's completely flat so beats me as to how i can remove it i tried prying it with a screw driver, but it's way too tight Last edited by cczfairmont on Sun Dec 13, 2009 6:35 pm, edited 1 time in total. |

Its a bolt i believe and if you dont know how to undo that spend a few months on learning to use tools then maybe we can help educate you with cars ! We all have to start somewhere but even some people know how to undo a bolt or take a rivet out !

Drill the rivets out and reinstall the ECU with self drilling TEK screws

If you have a file, file the rivet flat first, they dont have the indent/hole in the middle for the drill bit to take to and they just keep sliding the drill away because they are a dome shape.

Dont mean to be a d**k or anything mate, but, please go get yourself a workshop manual. It will be one of the best things you've ever done
In all honesty though, everything (or almost everything) will be covered in a workshop manual, its a very good tool for any DIY home mechanic |
