Hey guys I have recently been doing a heap of work to my bf xr6 n/a with the purpose of trying to get the highest hp in aus. Anyhow pretty much everything is together only a few changes to make to intake and exhaust.. But our highest read out to date is 246rwkw or 330rwhp.. Hopefully in coming week once intake is sorted properly and we change the exhaust to flow more hopefully see 250+rwkw.. And some cooler days would be nice.. Here's a few pics of where we are at.

Anyhow more to cone next week..

Anyone no how how much power I'll lose with 3000rpm stall??

That's a nice plenum for loosing all the bottom end power and an ugly looking looking power curve.

But as you said your looking for a dyno queen, so you got what you're looking for.

Yer it abit messy ATM but that's also due to plenum with intake setup we have.. As the plenum need a length of intake to increase airspeed thro the plenum chamber which in return increase bottom end and torque.. Also installing a stally as the cams are massive.. All this should pick the bottom end up. We are hoping with stally we wont drop below 240rwkw

If the Hi Stall is just a modified standard stall convertor and its built correctly then I cant see you losing a hell of alot of rwkw

Also if its the HI Stall is just a modified standard stall convertor it will drive basically the same as it does now - can they even modify a std stall to flash to 3000rpm - maybe if you dont retain lock up.

BUT if the 3000 Hi Stall is a custom job, smaller diametre, lighter and the size changes like this then you will lose some rwkw 11"

If you want it to be a dyno queen,Why on earth is the car an auto?

nice hot air intake you have there, would be worth some negative horsepower if ran as pictured.

Just make sure you know how the convertor will perform before you buy it.

A modified standard size, weight, diameter convertor will perform similar to your stock convertor but just with a higher flash rpm and stall speed.

A lighter smaller diameter hi stall convertor will perform completely different to your stock convertor, it will flash to the stall speed faster, it will be easier to stall it up with foot on the brake BUT it will stall high when driving up hills and it will have less rotating mass.
