Interesting and good price for the NA conversion.

How long would you need the car for?

I've been thinking about buying a BA, but repowering the ED may be the way to go.

We would need the car for the best part of a month.

WOW!
Don't ya just love quiet days in the office. I just read this right through and think I have been converted!
I have my EB sitting in the back yard under wraps while I draw up the plans for it's pending build, and will now have to scrap the plans I had to throw a 5.0L into it. (That's tough to admit being a die hard V8 man  ).
One thing I didn't pick up from reading, being in NSW, would this conversion need to be engineered to comply with NSW laws?
Cheers,
Mick

Is an engine transplant considered a "performance" modification under Victorian P Plate rules? > : )

would say yes it would be because you would need to state what the engine came from(engine number will tell rego auth that wnyways)

as seen as its uping the power out is what im trying to say im not sure if they would be keen on it.

allways phone em up and ask maybe?

How much does an EB weigh? Would it fit into an EL Engine bay also?

Would make it a fair bit quicker than the BA then, haha. Anyone got 0-100 times for these babies in EBs/Quarter miles?

EB's aint 1400kg :P
around 1500kg.. but yes... would be pretty quick.
i reckon 12's would be achievable with an N/A BA motor in an EB.

actually me ed weighs 1600kgs
i dont know about 12 second over the 1/4 lol...
i think 12s is a bit overboard..
remember the ba n/a has only 180/185kw compared to an eb/ed xr6,s 161kw..
i dont think 20kw is going to take 3 seconds of your 1/4 mile time..

maybe the ba xr6t might get you into the 12 seconds??
