i6 has a shorter input shaft. otherwise, same box.

Technically you can swap the inputs over, i have seen them cheap on USA eBay, but in saying that i think the Mustang 302 input shafts are a different length than the Aussie ones. Just get a bell housing from CRS, then you can bolt up an i6 T5. Just don't get an AU T5 like i did!!

ok
there a 16mm difference in the input shaft length , v8 shaft is longer . an No you can not swap the input shafts over as the gears are a different diameter , i have tryed it with a 5L shaft into a 6cly box and it didnt fit , but you can get your 6cyl shaft lengthened to the right length for the V8 aplication
