If running smooth enough and no misfires etc it sounds bit like a fuel problem. Whens last time you had fuel filter replaced?

Coz it does it on both petrol and lpg it rules out a fuel problem. all I can suggest is you start with the basics, checking leads, plugs etc and work thru to tfi module, oxygen sensor etc.

check your timing, my el was slow takeoff till i reset timing , also found the harmonic balancer had started to spin the outer ring

Check for any vacuum leaks. Vacuum leaks will cause rough idle and sometimes poor take off. Could also be timing, but check for any vacuum leaks first.

O2 sensor doesn't effect power as much as vacuum leaks. O2 sensors will mainly cause your car to run really rich. Thus poor fuel economy.
Check the MAP sensor hose...might have come off. Also have you checked your fuel filter? Might be blocked. phong =P~

hey ffghia, im prety sure thats the spout for the charchole canister and tappet cover brether hose at back of tappet cover, should have a large hose and skinny hose on that fitting, remove the air box and pipping and youll see a skinny rubber hose that should come from the iner gard and run to the fitting, id say the plastic fitting has split when the gas car has backfired, the plastic fittings tend to get brittle from the engine bay heat, id sugest fitting the big hose with zip tie ect, till you get a new fitting, good luck
