I want to fit a polished alloy overflow tank to my car. The thing is, i also want to keep the low coolent sensor, Could i get away with just dropping the sensor (wired up of course) into the tank, will that work ok?

you would have to mount it horozontal. (i cant spell too well)
as its a float and thats how it reads. as long as you can get it to sit straight you shouldnt have any trouble that i can see

PWR made one up for my EF to accomodate the sensor, he's actually given it a part number and adding it to there line. E-mail them and talk to Luke.,

I'm just running a CPC Chrome radiator cap (standard one as used on the orgiinal Ford bottles).

It ain't hard, you order it and pay your hard earned cash over for soemthing that feels like it's not really worth it... Then 4 hoses undone, and 3 bolts, swap the radiator cap over, and fill her up.
