^^ Thanks for the reply guys.
Looking at installing a BA airbox in an AU. Can I use the same bolt holes ?? Or does it require some modifying ?? |

Can you buy the rubber sealing lip part for BA intakes separately? Mine was perished so I'd like to get a new one...if not, anyone want to buy a BA intake minus the rubber bit?

EF EL and AU get all their air from the bottom vent dont they? im not 100% on AU's tho pod seems seriously oversized and pointless |

I tried to keep my intake looking as standard as possible when looking at it from the top
I kept the top part of the original plastic intake & used fiberglass to make the rest of the plumbing fit around the supercharger & idler pullies. I Made it in sections that fit tightly & snugly together & are easily pulled apart to allow for me to change belts & pullies etc. Just before the main pipe connects to the air-box there is another intake that connects to the pipe-work which utilizes the gap between the left side of the radiator and the body. This setup sucks in a serious amount of cool air, but to the unedumacated viewer it just looks like the standard intake. It's hard to see but there is also a Homemade Typhoon extension at the front of the air-box that sucks air from under the left headlight. Cost: $15 bucks in materials & took about 3 hours to measure up & make. I have had heaps of request to make some more for others, but I'm afraid that I only intended to make two & the other one is on my xr6. This a rough sketch because you cannot see it properly in the photos: |
