Not off the top of my head. Wouldn't you need to notch the crap out of the bottom of your bores just so the crank can spin?

Heard of these in crossflows. Seen some in Street Fords. But as for the 4L.... i wish.

You do but apparently its minor when using a 6" chev rod and chev piston
I wonder how this engine combo will rev??? I know this combo has been only done to 250ci crossflow engines but havent read anyone doing it to a EF or AU engine

I know this combo has been only done to 250ci crossflow engines but havent read anyone doing it to a EF or AU engine there is no reason you can't do it. considering the people are fitting EF/EL cranks and rods in to crossflows. the big ends are the same. the only problem is the crossflow block is taller then the OHC block. so you can't use the same pistons as you would in a cross flow. Add to that the OHC engine wont have the Rod to Cam clearance issues that the crossflow has with that combo. notching the bottom of the bore isn't a problem, near on every stroker V8 has the bores notched to some degree |

Had to notch the pan rails and blocks on them, and I think, the cam too. A bloke I knew years ago had a stroker VW 1600 twin port, it was using Holden conrods, off-set ground crank-pins ( had counter weights added too ), and a 92mm or 94mm bigbore kit. It was 2.0lt.

From what i know the same chev 6" rod and chev piston will fit into the EF engine block and if thats the case then this would be a great stroker engine.
Apparently 120 thou has to be machined off the crank which im not sure about but after a few number crunching i think u can get the chev rods and pistons with all machinging done for under $2500.00, which is no bad value if u really think about it.

I believe there a V8 chev rod but i read that its a 6cyc chev rod
An engine like this would scream in a cortina and with 270ci with head work and a decent cam size which is still nice and drivable would make the 200rwkw mark pretty easy

some quick research has shown that 4.0 and 250 strokes are the same as well as the bigend size...
the 250 has about 60 thou bigger pistons
