On the way home from work i ended up hitting a pot hole and ever since its happened i noticed my steering has been very s**t. If i decide to just zig zag up the road for example it feels like my car is a snake and the steering is tighter to turn, when i get to 100kmh the steering wheel starts to shake & vibrate. I was going down the black spur couple days ago and usually u can lalala down the mountain instead i was sort of holding onto the steering wheels just making sure it turned it felt like the steering had a bit of tension on it when i was Half turning left down a bend..My only guess is either my sway bar and steering rack has been affected..hopefully not my wishbone?
if anyone has any ideas let me know ty. Oh and pedders said it was my shockers rooted all round but i put my other shockers from my eb which had no problems with driving still the same problem...They wanted to charge me 750$ for shockers lol.

Well ive got 92 eb with lowered springs and shockers. i put that entire system into my ford el and they had no problems in the eb with the weird steering. Ive just put my 18'' rims on after getting rid of my stock wheels i havn't got a wheel alignment yet becuase i think its useless because when i had the stock wheels and suspension in they did an alignment at bob jane and still the same problem & its still doing the same thing with 18'ss and king springs & shocks.
I know vibrating would be alignment issue and such but the fact the car is like a snake to drive makes me think otherwise...im considering it to be like one of my wheels is angled strange or something hopefully its sorted out friday not 100% safe at high speed lol. pedders going to chuck it onto a spec machine and wheel alignment machine.

the wheels arnt balanced anymore you might of even kinked the rim. You will need an alignment and the wheels balanced again. I wouldn't take your car to Bob Janes either...

sorry probally confusing the s**t outer people.
When i hit this pot hole i had stock fairmont wheels & stock suspension & The issue happened after hitting the pot hole. Decided to put my 18'' rims on and my Superlows & lows king springs & shocks on. Still the same problem as above. I know i should have an alignment done for the 18's but i had the alignment done with my stock fairmont wheels and bob jane said nothing helped the issue so they didnt charge me for it so i decided there is no real point doing it for my 18'' wheels until i get it fully checked again. Last time pedders said it was my shockers except ive changed them after they said that with my perfectly fine suspension and the issue still occured so i doubt it is my shockers.

rack could be shagged but i would still get the wheels balanced.
