If your head unit is high-powered, you could conceivably push some high current the wrong way into the stock ICC and damage it, or even have excessive noise because of the two systems using the same lines. You could always place a diode on the positive wire from the ICC and on the negative wire to the ICC to restrict electricity flow going to it. |

aite heres the story eh...i connected my headunit up and no show!! ignition wire went to the cigg lighter, grounded the black(negative wire),, and to the diagram shown of the constant 12+ i connected it to the big fukk off yellow cable on the drivers side kick pannel??????? i need a more specific wire colours and pics to do this one boys...i didnt bother to do the speakers cuz i had no power at alll so no point... can i also ghet some more info on the right front hand side speakers thats grey with black and green on each of them??? i managed to get the other sides and get them easy...but no idea as to what one it is on the other side...theres a thousnad milllion wires ahhahahah

...to those whome said it was impossible........evidence that it can be done...and for those who will complain about the little crack and the ruff finish this is just my mock up to make a fiberglass plug and thus i will make a fiberglass one that will be perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talking with an Electrical Engineer at work, he was telling me that with an alternating current a diode's effectiveness is changed. A diode is only good for DC The major use of higher powered diodes is in the conversion of AC to DC... But correct about don't do it, if placed in the power lines of the ICC it does nothing to isolate the output stages of each unit. If used in the speaker feeds it still don't work as the speaker feeds are AC and this will not block the other unit but will distort the sound and may blow the speakers as they do not like DC. Best use a relay driven from the amp line of the second HU to isolate or changeover the speakers.

Shouldn't effect the speakers as far as i know. |

The antenna plug into the ICC is exactly same as any other head unit. So it plugs right in.

Hi all i need help urgently...... i bought the fascia and installed it all exactly as instructed on here....After installation my car will not start anymore...it cranks then fires, starts for about 1 second the then shuts off.
I thought maybe i had wired something wrong so i went back and removed all the headunit wiring and reconnected everything back to the ICC and no luck.... What have i done...have i blown a fuse? i urgently need some feedback please or i wont be able to go to work come monday
