Looking at dropping a wrx bonnet scoop onto the EL wagon, but I want to use the scoop as part of my air induction..... Any thoughts on how to plumb it all up?

Making the functional is easy as I have similar setup already but I have to agree and say the scoop wont suit. Maybe a liberty, turbo terry scoop or something along those lines would suit better.

I have a scoop I got from blits kits. Apparently its a copy of a scoop off a toyota corolla. I am moulding it on the bonnet currently and it feeds the induction

Image

This is how it looked painted and just bolted on my last car.

Image

In the above picture the scoop was only to cool the engine and the scoop covers just over 3 square feet of the bonnet so load of room to cut large holes and still leave the bracing intact

It will look similar to head_ache's setup and should suit the grill of the El from what I can imagine.
So how do I plumb it up then guys? Will it be worth it or will it be too much air rammed down that the motor will not be able handle it?

I have found you do get a noticeable gain for the setup especially at speed. My setup seals against the bonnet under the scoop. Below is a picture of the current setup attached to the motor I am about to fit to the car. It is version 1 and could soon be starting another slightly smaller and more rounded version.

Here is a front view of the scoop on my old car

Oh and the current setup is on an el wagon

See... to all that said "gay", head_ache's look great. Thats what I had in mind, its a pity you copied my idea head_ache, but Ill let you off this time. Where did you buy the seal filter kit from or did you fabricate it from something?

That scoop is off the toyota Levin. it is a "corolla" import with supercharged 1600 engine.

The rubber seal is the boot seal off a 2003 Kia Sportage. Originally the setup was a shaker style but couldn't make it legal due to the over all size. When I start on version 2.0 I am meant to be making a couple for others as well. Also hoping to have hidden mounts for it but would require someone to weld them onto your rocker cover.
