Hey guys got myself a Fairlane dome light thing today from the wreckers for $27.50 (also got a pair of fairlane side mould indicators [indicators plus moulds] for $27.50 each). Just wondering how I wire this biatch up? And I have to drill new holes in the brackets on the roof right?

Cheers.

s**t, I don't think so eh, if you could describe what it looks like and were it connects to.

Can't I just wire it up myself?

Anyone got pics?

Cheers for replies lads.

Ta for that. They got the dome from their stocks so there was no loom there to take as such. But they are wrecking 2 Fairlanes, so there would be one available. Should I call and ask them about it?

ahh i see. yep i'd just call them up and ask for the plug. I don't see why they would have a problem with it, its not like people are lining up to buy complete fairlane roof looms.

How good are you with soldering? It may be a bit awkward trying to solder up near the roof lining, so if you don't wanna do that you can just buy the complete roof loom

On the phone to them now.

EDIT: $10, ffs, lol.

EDIT2: Yay, someone else served me and the loom cost nothing, hehe.

If you want to disconnect the battery it wont hurt. I never did though.

the two green/yellow ones are teh same, so you can join them both to the green/yellow on the light loom.

The black/blue connects to the black/blue

Finally the black on the loom is ground, what I did is force it into a screw hole as I did up the mounting bracket - earthed.

Light works.

Did you get a beige plate that's screwed to the dome light? if so great, take it off screw it to the roof (after doing the wiring) and you're set. If NOT, the 'lane dome light doesn't fit the holes in the roof.

Yeah I did, unfortunately the one I picked up for Mitch did not. Any advice for Mitch?
