This is my engine bay.
I think you will find that you are using a different LPG setup than Flash and myself. Our IMPCO LPG gear uses a simple converter and a complex mixer, where I think you have a complex converter and a simple mixer (gas ring). On the right hand side of your engine bay is your Converter. If you look at my pic up above, the converter is mounted on the strut tower and the mixer is in the air intake piping. Cheers BenJ

cheer's guys so is this a shyte setup i have? it doesnt lack any balls between gas and petrol it seems to be a bit more rev happy on gas and same amount of torque.
relocating the converter to the left hand side under the airbox and putting a shielded pod on might be the way to go in terms of looks |

You can start by running the water (heater type) hoses around the back of the motor...

Older converters sometimes had a tendency to play up like that. I would update the converter as its recommended to do so every 5 or 6 years anyway. |

My EL had that type of convertor. when I got it, it had water hoses tapped into the heater bypass so very small.
Had another 1 here of the same type with 5/8 connections so swapped it over. Another tip is an AU thermostat has no tail to shut off flow to the heater hoses when the thermostat is fully open.

Also weather the rest of your system can be adapted over to a new converter. Do some ringing around and see what you find out. I would say between $300 and $400 for just a straight converter swap. |
