As above..

I havent owned an e series for near on 1 year now.. so am unlikely to use this item.. have held onto this item for years and am reluctant to give this unique item up..

when i installed it on my ef i had to modify the fuel rail support legs.. and modify the throttle cable linkage.. she now has 2 xf throttle bodys on her.. and needs to have an arm welded in place to act on both butterflies when stomping the throttle.. The car did bog down a bit off the line when the butterflies opened at the same time due to a huge air supply... but if could get one butterfly to open at around 20 percent before the other one.. should eliminate the slowness off the line when the revs are low... although on the flip side.. pass 2500 rpm and daaaaaaaaamn!!!! hang on!!!!!! rpm needle goes berserk towards redline and the induction roar is awesome!!!

am located in Luemeah sydney.. -matt 0435 293 628 pick up only due to weight of item or can prearrage a meet point

$300

In theory, it should be able to idle with one TB working, and as you suggested, have the 2nd throttle body open in a staggered configuration.

Hmmmmmm.

Shame I don't have the spare $$$$.

The challenge of making it work would be fun.

Oh Well.

well i dont mind ice cream... but only on females.. like my gf. not like on lady gaga or semenya.. lol

it might not fit in an envelope.. however "Trans Direct" is the cheapest courier i know.. they quote on box size.. not weight.. and by "trans" im sure it's short for "Transit".. not "Tranny"...

postage is picked up by buyer though..

With Butterflies and the fact he had it on his EF mentioned i would say it is not a modified log manifold !

i thought that the butterflys may have been a reference to the butterflys in the throttle bodies, not the butterflies that are used in the bbm to vary runner length.

anyway, if the throttle bodies are at the top (ie: bbm style) then i may consider purchasing the item.

but i need to know if any reprogramming or re-tuning will be needed for use.

btw i am not attempting to infuriate anyone. Or start a flame war, my humblest apologies if it seemed like that.

cheers

Given that it looks like a log manifold and not a BBM, I'd hazard a guess that it is a flipped and modded EA-D MPFI Log manifold with 2 stock T/B's

agreed it looks like a modified and flipped log, anyway throttbodies go up to as seen in the pics in his gallery, very nice looking and very unusual setup, best of luck wth the sale.

to those that answered... "a box car log flipped upside down.. with a a plate in place of the original throtttle body and 2 throttle bodys welded into the side of it". you are correct!!!

and thanks for the pics ozbmx..

although she has twin xf throttle bodys on her now. and are not linked together.. an arm must be fabricated as stated earlier so that one butterfly opens 20% faster than the other butterfly regulate the massive airflow down low..

this intake would be great for a large cam with cold air intake.. free flowing 3 inch mandrel steel pipe to the throttlle body.. extractors.. and full aftermarket exhaust..

tuning is nesscesary.. as the massive increase in air mucks around with air fuel ratio's and playing with the cam timing is definatly a good idea ..

ps.. the only butterlys in this unit are the 2..one each in the throttlebody.. -remember.. it is based on a box car log manifold that never had the bbm little butterfly for each cylinder.. like the ef onwards do..

if i got this, how would i go about tuning it to get the correct f/a ratio????

would i have to get lrger injectors, different MAP, larger pump???

any info would be good!!!!
