the valve is same principle as the 4l and v8 valve, just got hoses on it. Which is a linear 2 wire solenoid running on a pwm output, i run mine at around 150hz i think, ill have to check

Not much to report.
Still waiting on the DIS 4 igniter to show up, according to the USPS tracking number it was dropped off at the post office on the 6th of feb, then it left America on the 2nd of March. Where the hell it is now I don’t think anyone knows. And why it took so long to leave America is a bit weird also..

I've sacked the idea to mount the Coil Pack near the rocker cover, and moved it back to the guard, And also ordered some 9mm ICE Leads.

I've ordered a 3 meter accelerator cable, it should be here early this week.

The windscreen washer bottle was taking up room where I needed to mount a few things, so I've modified one to sit in the area behind were it used to be. Then made up an alloy plate to hide it, and to mount the boost controller and idle air controller on.

A few more small things have been polished, and I've put a PWR expansion tank in. Which I have to say I'm not very impressive with. For the money, it isn't made all that well. And it doesn't fit, it fouls on the shock tower.

I picked up my wastegate from Geoff at Snort, The last time I changed the spring in it, I must have pinched the rubber diaphragm, which had started to rip. Geoff kindly replaced the diaphragm and also sorted out a more appropriate spring for me.

So... At the moment I'm really been held up with the igniter not showing up, hopefully I'll get some more info on its whereabouts this week.
A few T-bolt clamps and hose fittings, and I'll have 99% of the under bonnet stuff competed.

Yer, It'll rub on the material under the bonnet, but theres not much else I can do. I cut down the fittings as much as I could to get it lower.

Looks real nice.. The white under bonet colour doesn't do it justice!! A darker colour would show up polished parts much more..
We put our coil pack on rear of rocker cover. Welded an alloy bracket with air gap for cooling so its closer to plugs...
Looks good, well done...

What kind of shield are you going to use for the booster and master cylinder and will you need one between the exhaust and the firewall :?: :D

Not to much to report, The MSD DIS4 finally showed up, it only took 9 1/2 weeks to get here. I'm having a little trouble getting the Wolf to fire it, I might need to run the old igniter between the wolf and DIS4 to get it all to work(sometime about the wolf not supplying enought voltage to trigger the DIS4).

I had most of the car back together ready to start about 2 weeks, then Geoff from snort performance dropped over and convinced me to change the turbo and manifold over to their new design.
I was a bit hesitant, but I've always wanted to run the new style manifold since I saw it over a year ago now.
I'm also changing from the KKK turbo to a custom Snort GT3540 turbo. Its going to have a smaller compressor wheel on it compared to the monster KKK, but been a roller bearing turbo and water cooled I think it will be a better "daily driver" turbo. The old KKK turbo was perhaps a bit extreme for my setup.

Another reason for the slow progress is I bought a new work car. Its a BA MKII XR8 6 speed manual. Its had a bit of work done to it, full exhaust, underdrives, custom airbox, and a set of cams. I had it flashed tunned a few weeks ago and it put out a healthy 263RWKW. Its a great car to drive, but I'd have to say the EF is a much more "exciting" car to drive even been an auto, and I think I’d be backing the EF in a drag.

Geoff should have the new manifold and turbo setup finished sometime this week, so I’ll take a few photos when I get it. The stuff coming out of Snort performance now is a work art, I nearly don’t want to put it on the car and get it dirty.. :D

Just another quick update. I finally got some time to work on the car tonight, managed to get the new turbo/manifold on, ran some water lines for the turbo, and rewired the M&W igniter between the wolf and the DIS4 which I now get to spark :D
I tried to get it started but only managed to get a small kicks and then a back fire. Given it was 11pm I called it a night.
Next step is to try adding some more or maybe less fuel, and trying to check the ignition timing.
I took a few pics, not much has changed, but the new manifold and turbo look heaps better.

Thanks.
Its a custom GT3540 that Snort gets made up from GCG. Without giving to much away, its got a T04z front wheel and a smaller rear housing on it.
