Got this with my EB XR8, intersting unit, should I use this for my build or get a single throttle body manifold? (331 stroker, 2040 Cam) The car made 193kw with this (well, not this alone) What do you guys think?

Looks like the person who made this up was trying to make something very similar to the Walkinshaw inlet manifolds.

Good idea but dosent look to be made very well but good on them for giving it a solid go

Looks like the bottom half is HO, so i wouldnt bother. Would be a prick to get running with a stock ECU due to 2 TB's /ISC's. Does it come with cables or a linkage to make both throttles work together or are they staged. Interesting idea, but fail i think.

There is a link between both TB's so I guess there not staged, AFAIK they car ran well with it on there. :)

Compare the ports to eachother - looks uneven and seems somewhat roughly shaped. Get rid of it.

The bottom off it looks a little rough.....don't need 2 ISC's....just plate one off.
Probably find it won't be real good down low, but up high in the rpm, might be alright.
Then you'll need a big MAF....or convert it to MAP????.....use aftermarket ECU.

That HO lower would have stopped it making any more power than 193kw.

Interesting, looks a bit rough tho. If it was better made & used a better lower than a HO, i'd consider using it.

Cheers

I remember the guy who built this doing a write up about it a year or so ago. I think I was the one who suggested ram tubes to him?? Thew car also had procomp alloy heads that he modified and custom and pretty neat looking 4-1 extractors. The engine was peaky from what he said but that was the way he wanted it.

Ok guys, what manifold you recommend for the setup?

331 stroker, 2040 cam, alloy heads

I think the manifold is well made but I'd like more power down the bottom :)

Edelbrock RPM2 or Holley systemax2(if you don't mind swapping sides with the t-body)

Are there any other types that have the throttle body on the right side? :)
