OK I have got all the gear for Tickford LPG setup.
Thought I might doco it as I slowly install the kit.

As I have a wagon I was able to place the LPG switch and LED in a switch facia from a sedan and retain the door locking button.
(wagon doesn't have the boot release switch)
Normally the LPG switch replaces the center door locking switch so now I can retain this.
Have to extend the wire but no big deal.

When putting an EF/EL on LPG the Thermostate has to be changed.

The standard Thermostate has a bottom valve that covers the seat in the thermostat housing.This is to stop water flow to your heater until the engine is up to temp.
When the engine is up to temp the thermostat will lift opening the bottom seat to allow water to flow to your heater.
If you use this thermostat there will be no water flow to the LPG convertor until temp is reached.This will therefore freeze up the convertor.

The AU LPG thermostat does not have a bottom valve so water is flowing as soon as engine is running resulting in faster warm up of convertor stopping the freeze.

It is quite an easy job to change out the thermostat.
Remove power steering pump filler cap.
Undo small nut with a 10mm socket and remove the shroud that covers the power steering pump.(replace filler cap to stop foreign matter from entering the pump.
remove radiator cap on expansion tank to releave any pressure in the system.
With a 13mm deep socket remove the 2 bolts holding the thermostat cover.
Remove cover and thermostat.
Replace with new thermostat with new rubber seal.
Refit in reverse order.
DO NOT overtighten the bolts in thermostat housing as in aluminium and may strip threads.
Top up with water and check for leaks.

There are a few solutions here, you can cut a notch out of the bottom flap or you can drill a bypass hole in the housing. Alternatively you can use a single acting thermostat.

I've been waiting for someone to do this...Awesome stuff hales. How'd ya get all the info cos i tried digging some up and came up empty handed most often than not. Does this include all schematics and info from the service manual. Cheers mate

Yes , the problem is the convertor will freeze up if it don't have water flowing through it all the time.
