Your driving style is whats going to attract the attention. be a d**k and you wall get done, be sensible and don't get into questionable situations, less chance.

most cops do not care about larger wheels and slightly lower, but if your being a tool it gives them a few more excuses to write up a few more tickets for you.

you will have to get specific details on what youve heard, because that myth has been around for ages, and in QLD where i am, ive found the wheel can be ANY diameter, as long as the correct sized tyre has been fitted and that the wheels meets certain build standards

Well this is for QLD
"The rim diameter may be varied from the standard size
but the overall diameter of the tyre must not vary by
more than +15mm or -26mm."

"The maximum tyre width for a car or car derivative must
not be more than 1.3 times the vehicle manufacturer’s
widest optional tyre."

"The track of a car or car derivative may be increased
by up to 26mm beyond the maximum specified by
the vehicle manufacturer for the particular model of
vehicle."

http://www.transport.qld.gov.au/resourc ... icles2.pdf

Vic is pretty much the same
http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rdonl ... 0/VSI8.pdf

As is NSW
"Wheels up to 26mm wider than the largest optional wheel recommended by the vehicle manufacturer for the
vehicle can be fitted without the need to notify the RTA.
The outside diameter of the wheel and tyre combination must be no more than 15mm over the largest diameter
wheel and tyre combination specified for the vehicle and not more than 15mm below the smallest diameter wheel
and tyre combination specified for the vehicle."

just reading the VIC one then, it looks like i can go with the 19's. Just have to keep the same diameter.
