Just posting on behalf of a mate, as I have NFI about leaf rear ends:
Series 3 AU wagon leaf springs, std are 4 leaf with oval front eye (sagging due to 2 nd leaf 2 short on the rear - tail shaft hits in tunnel on large bump when loaded) Standard AU ute leaf spring (rated 750 kg, 4 leafs, round front eye) i think all AU, BA, BF XR utes have the 750 kg leaf as well? will these fit the AU wagon, i.e. are the front eye widths the same oval v round? or can 1 pull the second leaf out of ute leafs and replace into std wagon leaf ( ute 2nd leaf is about 150mm longer towards the rear hanger making it stiffer. can you sus this out for me, reason Gas tank has caused the main leaf to bend behind 2nd leaf mating near rear shackle. |

This might help you Adrian:
gearbox-suspension-brake-driveline-f4/au-wagon-suspensio-t78226.html Looks like you could use E Series leafs to replace - add another leaf. The Bolt holding the leafs together will most likely be corroded, and might possibly shear. The specific ones might be hard to source, and are expensive, but you can use a std HT bolt to replace. Have a look for Fiend's build thread, we did cover a bit of leaf spring stuff in there a while ago.
