Can a BA 4 speed Auto Transmission be used or suitable to replace an AUII 4 speed AutoTrans?

I think they are a bit different in terms of their electronics and may need to be modded. Try using an AU auto.

Thanks Louie The Fly,
I thought they might be but was not sure. My tranny seems to have crapped itself so I'm looking around for a cheap one in the Brisbane area. Mine is an AUII Cheers |

If your keen and like the car a rebuild cost between $1500 and $1900 here. Hunt around and get some prices.
At least you know the tranny will not give any problems for a while after.

there is also the problem of ba btr doesnt have the casting in the extension housing for the speedo drive gear as ba uses abs ring for speedo signal, (except for utes with no abs.)

SWC,
Thanks mate. I was searching ebay yesterday and never came up with the result you had, I must have been using a different search engine method. Never occurred to me to use a generic search. Cheers |
