Sort the little issue of that rubbing on the one side, and it might be able to pass.

Could the rubbing be from too tight of clearances due to the original measurements done with crappy rotors?

Cheers

Thats pretty much it. Using s**t rotors then not enough clearance with new ones , that's why it's best to mount the caliper with a new rotor , as it was all trial and error I had no idea it was going to work , so didn't want to spend Money that I didn't need to .

It only rubs in the corner , an hour with a file would fix it .

Nah the spongy pedal went hard / normal after a few bleeds and braking , and car pulls up great now . I love using the brakes knowing I can actually stop . Takes about 2.5 - 3 seconds to get from 100 km to 60 km . Don't quote me that's just my estimation at the top of my head .

I think macxr8 had done it , he had a ef xr6 with au front end au IRS .

terroristghia has a au2 booster and master cyl on his ef.
i did some trial fitting of the booster and master cyl on the weekend to my ed and it will require holes to be redrilled in the firewall, alittle bit of bending of the brake lines and 1 adaptor fitting for the rear brake line to the master cyl..

and i can confirm the e series master cyl wont bolt to the au2 booster...

im not sure on the exact size or thread i havnt got an adaptor yet, but the au has a larger diameter fitting..

so its an adaptor from the small e series line to the larger au thread..

I'd say it would be a JIC fitting

That's an EB/ED master cyl though, isn't it ?? Bit different to an EF/EL.
Noticed an NC Fairlane V8 at PNPL on the weekend - brake booster looked bulkier than the 6 cyls - twin diaphragm ??

I think the v8 has a twin diaphragm with metal booster

In addition to the differences between EF/EL and AUII mast cyls I posted on pg 25, looks like the brake line ports are the same thread fitting - EF/EL lines probably need bending slightly forward due to the wider AUII booster.
AUII booster internals are different to EF/EL booster, so no internal swaps.

Looking at the EB/ED mast cyls on the weekend, looks like the housing is cast differently to later ones - proportioning valve housing is cast with standoffs, rather than one cast with the main body, brake fail switch different location, etc. Didn't take one off to measure though.
