Awesome car for on the L's.
Nice pickup. Beautiful colour too when its clean.................
You have to fit EF taillights but. The EL ones look the worst.
First thing we did with Donnas XR8 when we got it.

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!

Good work  You sure will enjoy this car.

Sure will. Still got to fix a few things:
The paint needs attention in a few areas (bonnet, f+r bumper and left quarter panel) but me and my old man can fix it as he spraypaints trucks for work, also need to fix the clock as it doesn't light up anymore. Same goes for the left side of the instrument cluster however i already took apart the dash and replaced the globes. And the other power window issue was fixed in roadworthy so its all good :)

One thing i will say, LSD, take it easy in the wet. It will kick to the left when wheels spin and when ya have someone in the left lane and you are in the right, its scary.

Nice and easy in the wet, on take off and round corners or you will see yaself doing a 180 easily enough.

In the wet as i found, dont race anyone, not worth it.

haha funny you say that as i have already almost lost it in the wet coming out of my footy ground with a little power and the whole a*** of the car came out sideways :S wasnt planned but held it ok. Needless to say i copped a spray from the old man. He wouldn't listen to me when i said it was accidental

Yeh can be a bit scarey.

I have a shiftkit being its auto, I have to turn that off and put it in economy mode, even then its a real soft foot on the accelerator

Great in th dry, damn scary in the wet. I learnt to be gentle and not worry even if a datsun goes by me, as at least i know will get home safely.

And tell ya dad, from me, and even show him this post and this thread, that it wasnt ya fault. Ya will get used to being more gentle, but let him know that it wasnt ya fault being that you are new to the car

will do :)

I see you have upgraded your head unit. Did you do it yourself?
The six stacker in mine doesn't read discs, so that gives me even more reason to buy new source, one with ipod connectivity. When i took the dash apart last, it looked like a pretty straight forward thing as i thought, but i want others opinions just in case

Mine, sony headunit

Used the brackets that came with the original headunit and screws. Think i have to enlarge one of the holes in the brackets but only held on with one screw each side. Does the job.

Yeh, i have a premo cd stacker in the boot. Didnt remove it, just there outa the way. Did work fine though

Speakers are http://www.clarion.com/au/en/products/2009/audio/speakers/quality/SRQ1620S/au-en-product-pf_1172419833204.html Calrions 6.5" front and rears. Had to redo the holes on the rear parcel shelf. Best sounding speakers i had for my budget. $108 per set from Autobarn down from $189 per set.

And after my tiring rewiring from my older car to this headunit, when i swapped it to this car, used the adapters from Supercheap. worth every cent.

Sony with ipod and usb connectivity. Wanna get eventually a dvd player but aint that important.

sweet will do it myself
