Well the bottom left goes to the MAP sensor which sits on the firewall.
The black line that goes into the cabin is vacuum for the ventilation controls - you need to fit a check valve (black blue coloured), the other is for the BBM vacuum solenoid (sits behind the washer bottle) - this runs the vaccy line that runs to the front of the BBM.
The two above go to the vacuum tree that the brake booster hose goes to.

Don't forget about the vacuum tree below the throttle body (PCV and charcoal canister).
I'd say it's best to have a look at an EF/EL and pull the washer bottle out.

the 2 on top of bbm switching valve went through fire wall behind dash not towards brake line as you mentiond
and whats a check valve ?I thought the black vac hose would just need to be connected somewhere
any ideas about extra tps from cfi??????
so close to trying to start just waiting on smartlock bypass and a couple of wireing connections :D

I'll say it again - I'd say it's best to have a look at an EF/EL and pull the washer bottle out.

The check valve in the diagram needs to be in the heater controls line.

does it?

i thought it was there to hold the vacuum to the solinoid switch so when you use w.o.t (wide open throttle)at low rpm the diaphram will not loose vacuum..

but i guess it would work the same for the heater controles but ive never noticed if my heater controles loose vacuum when i use w.o.t at low rpm?

so you have got a good point there!..

well anyway here is another diagram you could connect it this way also.
that way you dont loose vacuum to your heater controles or the bbm diaphram..

You make a good point - but the thing is that at over 3800 RPM (VSV will cut vacuum to the butterflies), the check valve will hold vacuum and the runners won't change over (unless the check valve is leaky).

There's been a few threads on this - best way to test this out is to go up a hill and accelerate.

That junction plug near the washer bottle can be confusing, that's why I suggested the guy actually have a look at one. AFAIK, the check valve sits in the heater/CC control line.

ok

my release solinoid releases the vacuum through the base of the solinoid when the ecu cuts power at 3800rpm..
but i have noticed if i remove the check valve the manifold will switch over as soon as i use enough throttle to loose manifold vacuum thats why i conected the check valve that way. :?

i know mine is working but i dont know if its the way ford wanted it to work..

Hmmm - **Scratches Head **
When I did my XH BBM conversion, I did check out the vaccy connector block and compared it also with my EL wagon one, because I wanted to rationalise some hoses as the XH already had the check valve under the dash. As I say I'm pretty sure the EF/EL check valves are only in the heater vaccy line - but the point you make about low vacuum is a valid one, so another check of this is in order.
BTW: Doesn't the canister line go to the vaccy tree below the throttle body ??

hmm i dont have a vac tree below the throttle body only the one near the fuel reg..
there is only the fitting for the pcv hose under the throttle body..
but ill have a look at how the check valve is conected in a el..
as i didnt have a el to see how it was conected when i did mine. so i just fiddled around till i got it to work...
