can someone give me the procedure for setting the idle on an EF please...
would this work? disconnect the isc then set the idle to say 600???...then adjust tps to under 1v??? then reconnect isc

something like disconnecting the isc, then putting the car in diagnostic mode by bridging the 2 connectors in the dash. Then after the revs settle, turn the butterfly screw in till it idles at 600rpm, then you can connect the isc
however ive never been able to do it that way cause as soon as i reconnect the isc, it shoots up to 3000rpm |

the procedure is disconect the isc. put a 0.75 feeler gauge between the throttle screw and the throttle stop.
start the engine and adjust the screw untill the engine idles at 600rpm.. remove the feeler gauge and the car should stall or near stall.. plug the isc back in and thats it.. start the car and the idle should be 650-750rpm in neutral.. |
