Hi, the sunroof is in the Garage waiting for me to install it. Hopefully within the next six weeks or so. alfy wrote: is it just me or does the left side of the front bar not sit quite right? as in it almost looks slightly warped. apart from that though, bodykit is coming along nicely! i like I had a look back through, and I think it is an optical illusion caused by the shadow on the left side. The bar is symetrical. ***************************************************** Over the weekend I got the last couple of things done before my trip to QLD on Thursday. I fixed the blown Number Plate Light, and glued the front parkers into place. Crawled under the back with the grinder and lopped off the ends of the Ubolts of the Lowering Blocks. I also topped off the oil and power steering fluid, added new coolant, and threw in some spare radiator hoses and a serpentine belt. The Wagon is all ready to hit the road now. Cheers BenJ

Well, had a good trip up from Sydney to the Sunshine coast.
Left at 7am, up the Putty Rd to Singleton, then to Tamworth. Had about an hour stop (Lunch and old friends) and headed north once again. Made to just the other side of Tamworth on the first tank of LPG, at around 410kms. Drove to Armidale on Petrol and filled up the LPG. Went from there to Toowoomba' another hour stop (Dinner and refill etc) without running out and filled up again before making the final run to Bli Bli. Still running around on that tank of gas. In the end we arrived at about 10.30pm, after taking the tourist route through Buderim. Took the wrong turn LOL. So driving time was about 13 Hours. The wagon has gone great. Had a small hiccup on the windy bit on the Putty Rd. Started to feel a grumble through the seat, and could hear a clicking noise. Pulled over immediately, and as I suspected, the rear wheel nuts were all loose. Yikes. The left in particular were out 2 - 3 turns. Not good, especially as I was ignoring the speed limit. There are these 'Motorcycle Safety Zones' now, all posted at 80kph. Guess I can't read signs good anymore LOL. Last minute pre trip, I decided to change the diff oil. As it is the only original bit of driveline left, I thought it would be a good idea. It is a royal PITA to fill a diff in a lowered car. For those of you in QLD, I intend to visit the Kedron All Ford Day for a bit on Sunday 22nd. I should be there around midday to 2pm at least. If you want to meet up, PM me for my mobile number. Cheers BenJ

Lucky you clued on to those wheel nuts straight away, good thinking. Nothing like a nice road trip i say. Thou i just backed out of a trip to Thredbo snow fields due to work.
I saw a kedron AFD poster at super cheap. Might rock up have a look around, but not if the cars not going. Not going to show up in a suzuki vitara.

The noise was not one I could identify as anything else, and was more apparent when cornering. Also, recently, I had replaced the wheel studs on the diff, so it was feasible in my mind that some of the studs had not pulled through all the way.
I have also had this happen before, from a tyre place not doing the nuts up properly, so I recognised the symptoms. It pays to know your car, and all its idiosyncrasies, so you can identify when something does not feel, sound or smell correct. Cheers BenJ

Cheers BenJ yeah I know what your on about....pitty the missus has NFI whatsoever about this sort of thing....seriously this one time she managed to jam the ignition so the starter motor was running continuously and she drove it back from the shops like that.....needless to say the starter motor was stuffed, no amount of asking weather she heard an unusual noise seemed to get through to her!!!
