Well at that cost no as BenJ is doing it on a budget and where is the challenge and mental stimulation in working out where or what the wires do.

The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is the equivalent of the E Series ECU + more.
It runs the engine, trans, cruise, traction, abs etc. Cheers BenJ

(sings to workin on the railroad tune) "Beenjys, workin on his EEE B!"
good plan with doin it in another car first, saves experimenting on the beast. Are you gonna hairdry it too? I noticed yours is a N/A motor, are you gonna change the internals?

Thanks Fellas for the comments. Going with a BA engine opens up a few options, including using the factory turbo gear on the N/A motor. This would make a nice streetable combo keeping close to stock boost. We will see what happens. Cheers BenJ

More Rear Suspension Stuff
After I put in the Ute Leaf Springs, I was never happy with the ride hieght. So this morning I decided to do something about it. Keeping the existing leaf pack arrangement I just added in my old 1.5" lowering blocks on the top. This of course created a small issue. Which was quickly taken care of. Just a bit more clearance now. Some before and after pics. While this looks awesome, it is not functional in any practical way. Even with just myself in the car, navigating Sydney's rough streets resulted in it bottoming out. Then this evening I had to take 3 other adults + myself into Sydney, and the experience was not pleasant. There is just not enough suspension travel, and the tail shaft would rub the floor with any sort of swift forward movement. On Sunday (tomorrow), I will be pulling the leaf packs out and re arranging them to give me a ride hieght in between the above before and after pics. GPS Install I got the Navaman for Christmas, and a couple of months ago made a plug adaptor install for the power cable. This allows me to keep the GPS powered while driving, and not have a cable dangling accross the steering column and dash etc. In addition the plug location is out of the way and keeps the cable from rubbing on the dash etc. Cheers BenJ

That ride height is nice, pitty it's so unpractical! I also love your idea for the power for your Navman. Mine is a mini usb connector, maybe i should add a mini usb to the top of my dash?
Cheers ToranaGuy

That sweet ride height with no practicality is a bummer, wagons weren't designed to be low I guess.

I cut the original power cable into two pieces, one very short which you can see, and the 2nd runs down to behind the stereo where I spliced in a 12 ciggy socket, and just plugged her in. Simple. ausedwagon wrote: nice. The rear of a wagon looks great when there low like mine. But as you said if you dont like the ruff rid then u wont want to keep it that low. And i know from being up in sydney in feb the roads are shiiiit I don't mind a firm ride, but having the diff bottom out is not acceptable in my book. It is all fixed now. I raised it 16mm. Pics tomorrow night. Cheers BenJ
