It will go in NA first, and will be boosted when all the bits are gathered.

Cheers

Nice scores there Ben! I might have scored one or two little bits for my panel van too, just waiting on confirmation. Each bargain is one bit closer...

Cheers

well as i mentioned to ben, if he gets a XR6T fuel pump and cat along with a 1:1 FPR he will be good for boost. use the stock exhaust for now. or do what im doing, XR6T cat then getting the outputs opened up to 2.5" and running dual pipes.

also ben, i had a look, the stock cats and XR6T ones wont match up, the XR6T is more vertical then the stock e-series ones. but if you find a XR6T cat it will bolt straight up.

and im sure you already know but they are a T3 flange

LOL, I didn't go myself in the end.

There is no hurry, so whenever we meet up will be fine.

Cheers

AIR BAGS

No, not the passenger safety bags, and no, not lowrider sort either.

These are the bags I scored, for a very good price, and are of the load assist variety.
Image

They are the Polyair brand and will maintain normal ride height while carrying or towing heavy loads.

In between the start and finish of the Bathurst 1000 yesterday, I installed them.

The lower mount slips over the leaf springs and two bolts clamp it two the spring pack.
Image

The above photo shows the bracket behind the differential as an example of how it mounts.

The bracket actually mounts in front of the diff. The upper bracket is secured with some bolts to the Chassis in front of the bump stop.

Not the clearest photos, but you get the idea. I will get a pic with the wheel off later in the week.

I then ran the air lines to the back of the car and decided to mount them in the bumper seeing as it will be replaced at some point after I get my a** into gear and finish the rear bar.

Still they look OK and are easy to get at.
Image
Image

The bags take a max of 25 psi and require a min of 2 psi.

I have 10 psi in there at the moment, but the rear seems a bit firmer with just me in the car. After I go for a drive with the whole family + dogs I will assess if the psi needs adjusting.

Future plans are for a 12v pump, release valves and rocker switch for on board control.

Cheers
BenJ

They look s**t hot Ben...

Always wanted some for my sedan but I'm pretty sure they don't do them for mine... Just handy with a boot load full of gear and people on the back seat...

Are they made for the wagon, or somebody has done a nice bit of custom work to make them work?

Cheers,
Tim

I removed them from an ED Wagon, and Polyair sell a kit for the wagons.

I have a set of polyairs as well from a wagon. I went to put them on my ute but the ute has more leafs.

Do you have any idea BenJ if you can buy or swap the bottom mount?

Polyair sell separate kits for the utes and the wagons, so it may be possible to purchase different lower brackets. You could make up your own brackets with some 6mm steel.

Cheers
BenJ

You could even use a compressor from the self levelling suspension set-up from a Fairlane to keep it all Ford :D

I shall have to investigate to see if the self levelling compressor is still in the lane. The rest of the evil s**t has been removed long ago , but I will check to see if the switch and stuff is still there.
Where would the compressor be mounted in an NF?Im tipping under right front guard but cant be stuffed pulling random stuff off just checking.
