Hehehe... I lost a few bits up under the dash in similar circumstance... Try a magnet around the BEM top... (Or don't try that as computer chips kind of hate magnets...)

That's great.

I had hydraulic clutches on my Mini's and Bluebird TRX. I had to rebuild the slave cylinders in both and the "race" mini shattered a brand new friction plate.

The best clutch rebuild effort I have done was my old HQ wagon. It had 360,000 miles on the clock when I burnt out the clutch after my dad passed it to me after 15 years. I replaced the clutch, machined flywheel and it felt aweful, I then found a like new linkage at the wreckers from a WB ute. It went in perfectly and no more sloppy worn levers. That clutch was soooooo smooth after wards.

hmm i have lost a clutch pedal spring somewhere flung off and dissappeared, the clevis pin is cheap as chups at ford only a few dollars or go to the local mitre 10 or bunnings and get a packet of 10 for 4 bucks,

Benj - Just wondering - How do all you guys get away with no having a heat shield between your extractors and the brake booster? Even with my heat shield it is 60 degrees behind the shield and would be getting up close to 200... The extractors at that point on my car go off the scale of my measuring (over 250 Celsius)...

If I recall correctly you can use a shield from a BA or something which works?

Well, you see, Fiend

I drive a BOXCAR. A much better piece of gear than the plastic fantastic you are driving.

The brake booster on a BOXCAR is made of . . . . . METAL!!! LOL

It won't suffer the same issues your tupperware one does.

The standard heat shield went straight back on with my e-series's. just a little bend here and there and of course no bottom bolt.

Their probably left off cause there ugly.

OK, Another Update

Last weekend I decided to have a go at installing the EB11 Air Con lines.

The Wagon, being an EB1, had the early EA type A/C lines, which are not compatible with the later model A/C Compressors. The EA lines, for the uninitiated, run along underneath the log manifold and then up the firewall to the TX valve. The EB11 A/C lines go straight up and over the Strut Tower and straight-ish back to the TX valve. That is all good and well, but in the Wagon there is the small matter of the LPG Converter being right smack bang in the way.

So after a bit of twisting and delicate manipulation, and dissasembling half the front of the car, I managed to get the A/C lines bolted in to the TX valve, and the A/C Compressor.

I am still to install the A/C Condensor, and will get some A/C refrigerant grease to install the O Rings before going to see about a Gas refill. Some cold air would be sweet.

I also scored some EL Tail Lights.

Adds a bit of class to the back end, and once the Alloy Wheels are back on will Tie it all in nicely.

As you can see, my driveway sucks, and is the main reason the Wagon is not sitting on it's guts, as the guts would end up on the driveway every damn time. Used to give me the s**t in the Red EB. You should see the flat spot on the bottom of the Red EBs exhaust.

I also modded an EL fuel flap to the EB hinge, but found that due to the LPG filler, the extra support of the metal bracket in the EL flap, the lid would not close. Bummer. Am now eyeing off a tin of bog and the dremel to cut off the finger piece of the plastic EB fuel flap and fill in the hole.

Thats it for today. Will see if I get anything else done during the week.

Cheers
BenJ

BenJ,
The tail lights look the goods, to finish it off, you need to get yourself an EL t'gate garnish, as they have clear reverse light lens's unlike the EA - EF ones that are tinted..
