Hello all thought I'd share what I have done with my 5th Fairmont!
Bought this EL Ghia off my cousin FairmontXR6 in May 2012 with a broken motor
and have done a little bit too it since then :)

General:

1997 EL Fairmont Ghia
Colour: Mocha Foam
Stereo: Pioneer DEH-6450BT Head Unit, Clarion 6" 2 Way Rears Kenwood 6" 3 way fronts, Stock Tweeters, Venom Parcel Shelf Subwoofer, Rear speakers and sub running on original alpine amp.

Engine:

BF Falcon engine 80,000ks, Hurricane Headers 200 Cell Cat 2.5" Exhaust 1 High flow lukey muffler, 20% Under drives, Typhoon Airbox, FG Intake Manifold. 208rwkw

Driveline

Rebuilt 5 Speed Manual, Exedy OEM Clutch, 4.10 LSD.

Brakes

DBA Slotted Front, DBA Standard Rear, Bendix General CT pads.

Suspension:

Stock Tickford EL height with Boge Turbo shocks front rear.

Wheels

Standard Ghia, Alloy Polished, Spoke inserts gloss black. Back 225/60/15 Front 205/65/15

Trackside:

13.75 at 102.7MPH 2.06 60ft More in it with a stronger launch on better rubber!!

Future Mods/Spending:
Nothing atm! Just enjoy, Keep it clean. Maybe a supercharger when I can convince my wife they
improve fuel economy.... :lol:

Thanks fellas yeah man thats the vid before I tuned it and improved the intake, goes way better now jumps way harder off the mark and revs better above 4k

Update: 3500 stally getting made up and new 4.10 gears and reco LSD should be good fun when its back together :)

hey man thanks :D Sleepers are good and the police don't ever look at you either. funny as hell flogging ricers and commonwhores in grannys el :P I want to get venetians but the visors are Over gay lol

Lookin good man! glad to see another mocha foam ghia rockin' about.

Love the sleeper treatment as well. :) Deffinately get on the vanetians man.
The 2 din should fit in nice and snug too, i should know...

Yeah it my favorite mod on these e-series, I know it gonna take a bit of $$$ and time but so did doing all the work I put into this engine without having any mechanical knowledge etc.

Hey these days a Bf conversion can be done for under 2k mine only went over due to expensive exhaust lol bit trickyer to get them to fit under an EL bonnet think you need to either lower k frame or engine mount modification. I ran mine with the ea auto trans computer so I could keep the Eb auto box

Nice man, they look so good in older cars, local wreckers down the road has one for $250 but with nothing with it, only done 30,000km if I remember, they are so beefy in person.
