you could still get some blow by, process west do it standard, mate of mine doesn't have a catch can on his barra and he gets oil in the bottom of his plenum

Fair enough ill see what I can do . Some 3mm X 25 mm alloy flat bar should do the trick .

Do you plan on keeping your car emissions legal?

I've got my mind in a few of these.

http://www.jegs.com/p/JEGS-Performance- ... 3/10002/-1

The plan is one for the pcv and one for the breather(s). That way all your crank case ventilation is legal, and works better than factory.

That looks like a better way than plumbing it back .
So the catch can vents to the oil , air separator ? Then that vents clean air to atmosphere ?

No. You set up 2 oil-air separators. For the first one you run a line from your pcv valve to the separator and then from the separator to the plenum.
For the other one you run a line from the rocker cover breather to the separator and from the separator to the turbo inlet pipe (between turbo and air filter).

All of the oil vapour is contained in the washable.filter ellement in the separators and you get no oil residue getting sucked into your air intake . If you feel that you have excessive blow by then by all means add a catch can before each sepator but under no circumstances must it vent to atmosphere, even if it has a filter element on top. The epa likes to a*** rape people with breathers.

I get you now . Ill do that then . Since the motor is rebuilt I shouldn't have a need for a catch can then .

The ba/bf hydraulic pedal setup has arrived . Plan is to drill a large hole in the bracket then tack weld in some tube that will slide over the manual pedal pin on the pedal box . Then secure it somehow to stop it moving .

I brought a bmw clutch master cylinder as it looked very similar to the Ba/bf one , plan was to make my own bracket until I found out it was easier to buy the ba/bf setup

Anyway I was going to return the master cylinder until I noticed they are almost identical to each other . Even the holes line up . Out let is the same fitting and so is the Clevis .

So I'm keeping it now as a spare . Was only $130 from USA compared to $300 here from ford etc .

Test fitted the plenum. The T/B sits too far forward .
So I cut the front off where the T/B mounts to and make it sit back further . Just have to weld it back together .
Hoping I don't have issues with bonnet clearances

Plenum is all done . Except the top isn't fully welded ran out of gas .
Tomorrow ill get more gas and finish it off Tuesday .

Throttle body sits in a good position . Ill need a eb top thermostat housing because ill have issues with the T/b being too close to the top radiator hose .
