Thanks for all the comments guys, really good to see alot of interest. Well went up to townsville this weekend to pick up my BA xr interior. I ended up picking up a back seat, 2 fronts and 2 door trims in the rapid yellow, should look good. I do have a few repairs to do to the seats due to it being out of a write off. Any ways I got slack this sarv and wanted to trial fit the passenger front seat. iv notice alot of people on here asking if BA/F seats will fit e-series, heres what you gotta do:
BA/F FRONT SEATS IN A E-SERIES: Yes the fronts will fit with minor work, heres what iv figured out in 5 minutes of fitting the seat, Put the seat in the car as shown: The front holes line up perfectly as shown, no mods needed: The back left bolt hole is out by about 10-20mm, Iam thinking of tapping the leg back with a hammer a bit and die grinding it out a few mil to meet: And as for the back right foot it seems to look like itll line up no prob however it appears to sit about 2 finger (inch or so) high. Iam thinking of simple getting a peice of strong grade cylinder piping and using it as a washer and use a longer thread bolt OR a strong metal block of some sort. Ill have a play around with it later and let you's know how i go: You can try unbolting the old e-series running seat rails and make them fit the B series seats but either way youll be up for a bit of custumising. Its your choice, but i figured making the seat fit the car would be alot eazier. Heres a finish shot:

looks like a decent walled cylinderacal bar would be fine as a spacer and a high tensile bolt.

If the rears are anything like the AU's in mine... they are fiddly but doable also.. have to remove the bar that holds the E series seats in (the don't work with the AU bollards) and weld in the square u bold the AU uses...
oh and the AU seats have a plastic clip drilled and fitted into the floor that the seat base clips into... the E's don't have that so you have to drill and fit some. nothing major.. |

Looks good smithy. Should be a nice contrast with the yellow trim and purple paint.

With colours go Iv been trying to find a set of purple trimed seats for months and have had no luck, and Iv come across a charcole and silver colour but I was stuffed around with that one (wont get into it) then i came across a cheap set from townsivll and couldnt resist the opertunity. I hope the yellow goes with the purple if not ill keep an eye open for a different coloured seat covers as you can swap the covers over on any ba/f seat. Ill have a crack at fitting the back seat shortly and let yous all know.

BenJ i to wasnt sure about the fitment of b series seats in a box car either benj, with stacks of research i didnt find any info on a step by step so i thaught id have a crack at it and surprisingly it looks pretty simple. I hope it gives the confidenece to other moders out there to upgrade there seats eazily. And like you said ebay is a great place to find them, i picked my front ,backs and 2 trims up for a cheap $150, its eazy to find a bargain on ebay, good luck.

{USERNAME} wrote: jared what about a longer bolt with similar thread Yeah ill try and get a longer bolt same thread for the back right bolt some time this week, youll still need to use a strong block of some sort underneath, as long as everything is tight and stable it shouldnt be a prob, however if i find a better and eazier way ill be sure to let yous know. cheers mitch.
