With colours go Iv been trying to find a set of purple trimed seats for months and have had no luck, and Iv come across a charcole and silver colour but I was stuffed around with that one (wont get into it) then i came across a cheap set from townsivll and couldnt resist the opertunity. I hope the yellow goes with the purple if not ill keep an eye open for a different coloured seat covers as you can swap the covers over on any ba/f seat. Ill have a crack at fitting the back seat shortly and let yous all know.

BenJ i to wasnt sure about the fitment of b series seats in a box car either benj, with stacks of research i didnt find any info on a step by step so i thaught id have a crack at it and surprisingly it looks pretty simple. I hope it gives the confidenece to other moders out there to upgrade there seats eazily. And like you said ebay is a great place to find them, i picked my front ,backs and 2 trims up for a cheap $150, its eazy to find a bargain on ebay, good luck.

{USERNAME} wrote: jared what about a longer bolt with similar thread Yeah ill try and get a longer bolt same thread for the back right bolt some time this week, youll still need to use a strong block of some sort underneath, as long as everything is tight and stable it shouldnt be a prob, however if i find a better and eazier way ill be sure to let yous know. cheers mitch.

Have you got the trims to match? |

Have you got the trims to match? yeah iam really hoping the yellow goes with the purple, iv got 1 front trim and 1 back trim (which wont be much use to me) but ill keep an eye open on ehay and the local trader for a front drivers trim and a yellow insert. As for the back trims iam gonna use 2 fairmont trims (ones with electric windows) and retrim them to match and add a yellow insert to blend in. Hopefully itll look alright, thanks XR-lane

I think the yellow will go well, hope its not too hard finding the rest of the trims. If you get the e series trims trimed with the BA seat trim it should look good mate.

Question... the way that the seat sits at the front and with the need for suck a tall "washer" at the back of the it... is it now leaning forward or is it my imagination? |

At the moment with no back bolts or spacer the seat sits perfectly, shouldnt be a prob when all bolted down.

{USERNAME} wrote: Wow, that does look much simpler than even the EF/EL seats into a Boxcar. Uhm... I was going to say from his photos that they looked very similar to putting EF / EL's into boxes... From this point I was starting to deduce that it could be very easy to get the B series into the EF / EL.Maybe I jumped the gun?... |

Not having done the EF/EL into boxcar myself, but having a few mates that have done, they say they had to cut and shut the rail feet to get it to fit.
