Hi all,
Urgently looking for a worked 4L 6 EF, EL engine or parts, (Head and Block) my son just dropped a valve and piston, its very messed up. The car used to belong to baconboy, the white ef fairmont with the F6 Typhoon front bar. Hope someone can help the young fella out. We are on the Central Coast NSW. Cheers, Steve |

Hi.
My suggestion would be to see if the head can be saved as that head had a substantial amount of work done to it and is largely the reason the engine went so well. Then source a good bottom end, to bolt it too. It may also pay to look into an AU111 engine bottom end and conversion. You could put the std AU engine in the car, get it up and running, then install the head after it has been looked at. While the end result will not be quite as good as the original combination, it will still perform well, and should be reliable. BenJ

Hi Ben,
Appreciate your tips, I have sent an email to jim mock motorsports in vic as i've heard he is about the best as we will try to save the head and rebuild a stock ef bottom end that we already have (has been running dedicated lpg for years?) using whatever we can salvage from the stuffed one. Thanks again for your help. Cheers Steve {USERNAME} wrote: Hi.

Contact Joe at CMS. He is a site sponsor and he may have built the head in the first place.
CMS is in Sydney and should be able to assist. BenJ
