Hi
I'm going to try to get a XF injected motor to run with a multi point ECU in a TD Cortina.
I've pulled a wiring loom out of an EA 5 speed and can't see any problems except for the vehicle speed sensor.
I'll be using an xf distributor, EA injectors, not sure about Throttle position or idle control yet.
Can anyone see any problems with this? something I may have missed?
What will happen if I just don't hook up the vehicle speed sensor?

If you are running the 3.9 ECU, make sure you run a MAP sensor, not the Air Flow Meter sensors. XF distributors are the same as E series anyway (the EFI ones), as long as it has a TFI module off the side of it.

EA injectors are fine (As long as they are the MPFI ones), if you are running a 3.9 ECU, then you'll need an E series throttle position sesnsor.. its not vital, but would be nice. and idle Ill leave up to you, but keep in mind the stock ECU can only control the Ford 2 wire PWM idle valves.

Oh, and dont worry about the VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor).

Cheers
