Only a handful of people can tune sniper in Vic. All of them seemed to suck after a bit of a search so I went with the flash tuner.

decide who you want to tune the car first, use whatever they want you to use.

Bingo, they all have the same technical capabilities. How good or bad a tune you get is entirely dependant on the person who does it.

I was referring to their general knowledge of our vehicles!

no, it can only be used on one car at a time, for him to use it your car needs to be returned to stock tune, this un marries the xcal from your car unlocking it..

then it can be used on another car, but there is only 5 times it can me married and un married before it becomes as usefull as a paper weight..

yes, but it depends on the tune, a custom tune is the way to go, you get best overall results and if the tuner is nice he can activate user options to allow you to have some adjustability , eg, idle speed, wot fuel, ignition timing, rev limiter ect..

generic tunes that are purchased are hit and miss, what works well on one engine don't always work well on another..
you can also use it as a scan tool to check and clear fault codes,

So the sct tuner is generic so I can't adjust anything? Or can I get someone to unlock it so I can adjust idle and red line ect

it depends who you got it from and wether or not the user options have been turned on.
when you use it there is options in the program menu that says default settings or custom settings, if you see this you have the user options activated..
