There is no reason that you can't make your own trip computer to suit though. Basically an adaption of the MegaView.

Im not 100% sure (read : Friday arvo and work does drinks...) however..
Unlike the EF/L, the EB trip computer calculates its DTE etc off the Injector Pulse-width, and not off a Data line from the ECU or Dash. If you can figure out a way to shoe-horn an EB/EA/ED Trip computer into your EF/L housing then you have a way around this problem. And.. what do you know - not too many typos either! Damn. Id better *not* be straight. Nigel |

To get PWM or Duty cycle, you need to get the data from MS-II, not the EEC-V (or EEC-IV). That's why ANY ford trip computer won't work once MS-II is controlling the injectors, unless the trip computer uses a pick-up off the actual injector wire.
There is already code out there for MS which offers crude traction control, although all it does is retard spark and dump a whole heap of fuel into the engine to bog it down. I would assume that the Ford traction control uses the speed sensors off the back brakes (the same one that the ABS uses) so installing MS-II should affect that unless you cut the wrong wires. And if you *really* need traction control, you can install it in any car you want. I've got it in my fiance's EF.... my right foot is my traction control |

I'd be interested in this buy no problem.... but tell me about MSII and boost put together. And I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for it to control thermo fans, and water injection? its all in the code right?
Cheers

Water injection it can do easily.
As for thermo fans, I'm not sure it will do that with standard code, but you could modify the code to control the fans. Although, you can get thermo switches pretty cheap these days. All you really need to control a thermo fan is a thermo switch and leave your aux outputs/inputs on the MS-II for something else... like your water injection. |

Surely with 1 or 2 inputs still feeding EEC (ECT/air con status?) it would still be capable of controlling thermos?

Hey Guys,
I'd be interested in a Megasquirt (v1) just for spark, as long as someone would be willing to build the kit up for me (Alcohol and cash will be provided) So put me down for one as well please

I have just ordered an MS1 and plan to use the MSnS-E for fuel and spark on my 351 Cleveland. I am using 2x EA TBI units and a 4 barrel adapter.
When the MSII is available I will upgrade to that. By that time I will have my VE and spark tables all sorted out. I will also go to multipoint at that time with a true 4 barrel TB.
