My BF XT falcon was completely stock when i bought it. The only modifications i did to it were an upgraded sound system with mono block amp and a 12" sub (bit of an audio head).
However, recently i got sick of the stock wheels and acquired a set of xr6T rims and with new tires, threw them on for a much more sporty, but still quite stock looking vehicle.
My question is that if i were to upgrade to super-low springs all around, would the 17" stock xr6T rims look funny? at the moment they sit alright but some days i look at it and think it is sitting too high. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and i do not want to throw too much money at this vehicle as i have many other things to throw money at!

If your going to lower, get monroe gt shocks and struts also. It will look nicer, plus handle better. The xr6 rims look mean as on a lowered vehicle, so go for it.

awesome guys, thanks for the advice. I keep looking out my window thinking it will look funny lowered with only 17" rims, but I haven't got much to lose, if it does I'll just put some second hand GT rims on it :D

What sort of dollars are we speaking for Monroe stuff KrazeD? Do you have much knowledge in this area?

Low, super-low or ultra-low though?

Hey mate, I ordered Super-Low King Springs with Monroe GT Sport Shocks and Front Struts, cost me $750 + $30 postage. I haven't put them in the car as of yet, hopefully in 2 weeks when I have time to get the car into the shop.

The car will sit beautifully on 17's, and if you get the shocks and struts, it will handle a lot better than if you just went with lowered springs.

Here's the exact listing from Ebay.

Looks like you're in luck, as the price has dropped by over $100.... lucky prick :P

Wow, that's a great help! Thanks heaps :)

I was advised that I could not put in super lows with my current (stock) shock absorbers? What is the story there?
