I have just bought an 08 FG xt dedicated LPG car. I have discovered it has some problems with the electrics. I was wondering if there was somebody in the Brisbane area that had a scan tool that they could plug in and tell me what I need to replace please. When I picked the car up and got it home both of the battery terminals were very loose so it may have spiked a lot of the electrics in the car.
Everything seems to work but sometimes is shows a code error for the radio and when you turn the cruise control on sometimes the dash indicator just flashes, also the outside temp is always very wrong. I know if I take it to my local Ford dealer they would be able to tell me what the problems are if I pay them for the two hours labour they say it will take to run the diagnostics on the car Michael

CRUISE NEEDS TO SEE BRAKE PEDAL OPERATION TO OPERATE, MAKE SURE ALL STOPLIGHT GLOBES ARE WORKING AND CORRECT ONES OR CRUISE WONT WORK - COMMON FAULT WAS FOR IMPOSSIBLE READING FROM OUTSIDE TEMP - REQUIRES NEW SENSOR IN LEFT HAND MIRROR (sensor only not mirror) - RADIO MAY REQUIRE REINSTALLING, CODE CLEARING VIA FORD SCAN TOOL - VEHICLE IS PRONE TO FAULTS IE. CODES ETC. IF BATTERY VOLTAGE IS SUSSPECT.

When you turn the cruise control on instead of the indicator telling you the cruise control is being on solid at times this one flickers and you are unable to set the speed, all brake lights are working.
It had been fitted with a new battery before I bought it and both of the terminals had been left loose.

check the condition and specs of the battery first. the fg falcon suffers lots of electrical problems if the battery is not up to spec or if its a bit dodgy. i would suggest installing a new battery that meets or exceeds fords specs for the car, check the wiring to the terminals, and check for a good earth connection. then see if the problems persist.
