Hi, my 94 XG ute will not crankup, racq said it was the crank angle sensor or another sensor as there is no spark.

I got it put on the back of a tow truck to be taken to my mechanic but its been there for almost 4 days now with no fix. Called them today and he said that its something to do with the computer and the immobilizer is not allowing it to kick.

Sorta confused because I know very little about electronics and considering I just brought the ute I really didn't expect to have to forkout for repairing it....

Can you guys explain how the smartlock works and by doing the reset would that perhaps make it crank?

Just found out through mechanic that it is the smartlock system and I am going to have to pay $750 to replace it + labour... not happy :\
