Hi all
I've mounted an air horn just behind the grill on my 2007 Ford Focus Zetec. I'm looking for some tips/knowledge on how to wire it up. Are there different types of wires need for each connection and what other wiring bits and bobs do I require? The kit came with a 4 pin relay but do I need to buy a fuse as well? Any advice would be greatly appreciated |

Here' a diagram showing you how to wire it up. I prefer to use the relay to switch the -ve (earth) instead of the +ve. You should use a fuse and there are relays that come with them.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated the wiring for the air horn needs to be large enuf to carry the current needed/used & yes use a correctly rated fuse!. you will need the correct wiring connectors for connecting the relay, battery etc. with air horns i have found that they should NEVER be fitted in the actual engine bay as i have found that the sound "echoes" or sounds louder in the cabin. i mounted mine behind the bumper bar [AU] & used a twin note. also do not use a 'musical' air horns as your main horn. {USERNAME} wrote: Here' a diagram showing you how to wire it up.
