Can anyone tell me if v8 and 6cyl alternators the same? I need one for a ED V8, and need to know if i can use one from a 6cyl car.

I needed an alt for my i6 and thought the same question but vice versa. I was told no, a 6 alt and an 8 alt cannot be interchanged.
