Hi all
I have an AU Fairlane that has a dead six disk CD stacker. I also have a working (new) 6 disk stacker unit that I pulled from my Jeep Grand Cherokee after its untimely death from the impact of native wildlife. The Jeep was a WO. The stacker is a Chrysler rebranded alpine unit with the nine pin plug. Is it possible to wire up an adapter so the Fairlane head unit can use this stacker?

does it fit?
if they are both the double din standard it should, but no idea if the jeep stacker will fit into the ford frame work etc... you could get it to work buy having the plug on the back of the jeep one and cutting the wires off it then working out what wires do what and joining them to the ford harness end of the day be easier for you to get a 2nd hand working ford unit and use that! then the steering wheel controls will work ! just make sure you get the radio code!!!

The physical dimensions of the stacker are the same. However, the AU has a Ford proprietary connector,
As for the second-hand unit, i have noticed there is an in dash cd player on eBay, but it says the CD player does not work. there are also no stackers available second hand for this model it seems.
