I got an auto headliht and wiper control off eBay that I'm planning on throwing into my DF LTD. No point in luxury car without auto headlights and wipers. My logic anyway ;) I'm thinking of hooking it up on the wiring in the steering colum, anyone done this before and would that be a good way to go?

Factory manual and wiring diagrams will come in handy.

Yeah I got a factory manual to trace the wiring, was just wondering if anyone on here has hooked one up before.

Snap (pretty sure correct me if I'm wrong) has done it in his XH... Modified the factory light switch so it had an added auto position like modern cars and then made all the circuitry up himself so it integrated with light levels and the locking and unlocking of the car... When he sees this post he'll either explain or link the post where he has explained it before...

In the mean time feel free to search it yourself...

Cheers,
Tim

Phooey on you old man . . . .
Autoheadlights covered here: ford-audio-visual-f5/automatic-parkers-t111254

Auto wipers I'd think you should have the unit run a relay which operates intermittent wipers. This earths two lines from the BEM. Measure the variable stalk control at slowest to give you a resistor value. Have your controller earth BEM A3, and with that resistor inline, earth A10.
