in the vz a mate set it to lock when in drive if i got the wire on the ecu that tells it what gear its in how could i set it up at the certain voltage it activates a switch that allows a current to lock the doors

i know how to do it except that certain current im thinking a relay with a resistor to that voltage

sorry for the late reply, but as a member of the RFS and SES this is one of the most stupidest things you could do, if your in an accident how are rescuers suppose to release you or your passengers when the doors are locked, we don't go smashing windows unless it is absolutely necessary. please never ever do anything like this as a small bingle could end up a write off.

i just don't get how some people can deliberately put their own and others lives at risk, its not worth the hero points if your dead.

the fg has this feature via the icc. when i have the transmission in drive and go above a preset speed the central locking will lock the doors. im guessing if its a factory thing in the fg then the doors must auto unlock in the even of some sort of collision or something?

i'd hope so, other wise there could be a lengthy rescue one day, why a car has this option is beyond me, it puts peoples lives at risk

i think the reason its built in is oppurtunistic theft. people here in WA like to do 'window washing' at busy lights where your held up for a bit. whilst their washing your window someone opens the passenger door and f*cks of with whatever he or she can grab. plus it stops oppurtunistic car jackers. a friend of mine was recently sitting in her astra at the lights, when an indigenous person, (for the sake of the cry baby equal oppurtunity soft C**k hand wringers on here what i call them has been edited) opened the door, dragged her out by the hair and sped off in the car with her hand bag. a simple thing such as locking the doors would of either prevented this or allowed time to escape. from my understanding the fire service has a tool that allows them to pry open doors on smashed cars, even locked ones, so id rather lock my doors when im out driving. if your going to tell me it will waste valuable seconds in rescuing me, well if my life comes down to the seconds it takes to get me out of a wrecked car, then the car will be so mangled that even if the door was unlocked, it will be so crumpled as to necessitate the use of said tool anyhow.
