Hi guys n gals. Newbie on this forum and I have a smartshield issue with 2001 AUII XL ute. I have tried a numerous checks and test as suggested by numerous people on another Ford Forum, but I still can't resolve the Smartshield issue.

After flogging this dilemma with the immobilizer issue on the other forum, I would like to know if I could possibly do a BEM swap from a AUI ute (build date: SEP99) to my AUII ute (build date: JUL01).

If so, what components do I need to do the swap from one ute to the other (i.e. key, key barrel, TILA, BEM, PCM, etc.)???

been following your problem and feel the frustration not sure on what wiring differences there are between the two models & that maybe a sticking point?

Yeah I'm only guessing, but quite sure I'll need to also swap harnesses too like ya said. Just wanted confirmation, so yeah just waiting on that slap in the face to confirm it.
