Hey guys
Just recently I started getting the door ajar sensor going off, thinking the door acuator on my drivers side had f**k out i was about to replace it. Anyways noticed one night my boot randomly unlocked itself (I didnt piece it together at the time) but that was why the sensor is going off (worked it out this morning on the way to ford). Its really random as the rest of the car will stay locked but the boot will just pop unlocked randomly. I havn't had a look at the wiring harness (suggested by George) yet so just wondering if anyone else has had this problem before -it's a 6/06 BF sedan. Cheers Phil

Cheers Phil Well i have noticed that when i put the keys into the ignition i do hit the boot release button with my knuckle. I have a EF i dont know if its in the same place as mine. just a suggestion that that might be happening. I know with mine you just have to touch it to get it to open |

Check to make sure the latch is moving freely back and forth, if it's not latching properley, it might be popping open.

thanks guys, definitley not hitting the button with my key tho as i check it before even opening the car. Its actually stayed locked last night and during the day yesterday and today, had other suggestions my old keys could be going flat and sending a dodgy message, wrapped them up in al foil last night and it stayed locked so could be it. Otherwise there could be someone else near me with their remote and its crossing over, will wait and see what happens.
CheerS Phil

all good mate, didnt take any offense to it anyways, sometimes its the little things like that, that needs to be questioned. Boot has stayed locked again so really thinking it was the old keys, i should test them later to see if they are completely flat
