can the TFI module be removed without taking out dizzy? need to fix my car asap so ne help on how to remove it would b great thanks

ok cool how did u do it bcos i sussed it out and saw that it was screwed to it or it looked like it was screwed to it?

1 pull out plug
2 there are two screws to remove because of air con compressor i loosened the dizzy and turned it so i could get to the bottom screw 3 then module pull down |

yes u can, usually is held on by two small phillips screws, be sure to apply some new heat transfer paste two the new tfi module.
up to you, but if its because your car is turning itself off after while driving it, this is what my el did, your better off just buying the whole dizzy as they come with the tfi module already on it, distributers only usually last around 100k anyway.

not hard at all, just need to match up the markings so its on the finish or start (i can't rememeber) when the motor is on TDC on the compression stroke.

exactly right sommers.
set the engine to TDC on comp stroke, line up the dizzy to the start point, push the dizzy down while holding it, it should engine up with the rotor facing the finish mark. Im bout to do this this weekend to try and get rid of a miss
