Hi folks, I have a car (not a Fraud) that will not light up/engage the cruise control when the steering wheel is in the straight ahead position.
However, if the s/ wheel is turned 90 deg, anti clockwise, the c.c light lights If the s/wheel is turned any degree clockwise, nothing happens. My question is this: should I suspect the clock spring? There doesn't seem to be any other type of connection between the s/wheel controls and the steering column wiring. I don't suspect the c.c wand on the s/wheel, because if that was faulty, it wouldn't activate the c.c at any time. |

Quote: does horn work when cruise doesn't? Interesting, never checked!! It's a Toyota Camry, and Toyota has pretty well confirmed it is the clock spring. |
