This has probably been posted 100 times but i cant find anything relating to ED V8s specifically

I have a 1994 ED XR8, only had it a month and now it only runs/starts intermittently. like once every few days or weeks for about 10 minutes until i turn it off then i just keep checking it everyday until bang it starts again.
So far i have replaced Battery, Alternator (was buggered anyway), TFI, Dizzy CAP, Rotor, Coil, HES (it started and ran for about 15 minutes after replacing HES) now wont start again.

I have set Timing, Its getting fuel (i can smell it) but no spark. Smart lock comes on when you turn the key on then goes out after about 3-5 seconds so i dont think its a smart lock issue.

Can anyone please Help!!!

Hi, can't really help you with your queries ..... however. i have read elsewhere that some ecu's are now having problems with the internal capacitors breaking down. this may/maynot be your problem, BUT, it gives you another avenue to pursue. hopefully it helps you.
